As I recall you do have to do some adjusting depending upon exactly which model cleaner you have, but if you are replacing it, likely you have the ability to do this if necessary. You can pay more and get a more exact model I believe, but this is a great product for the money.

Product is great but someone at Amazon didn't package this well so 2 of them spilled during shipping. Post office suggested contacting them. I did. They said they would send out 2 replacements but I never got them and I didn't take the time to call or email a 2nd time.

Because this advertised Oxy I expected a really clean, fresh scent and powerful cleaning. I got neither. Don't get me wrong, it works, but it works as well as the regular shampoo that comes with the carpet cleaner.

Whether I would buy this particular type of carpet detergent for every carpet cleaning job is questionable. However, it does "spot out" those "Oh No!" accidents whether they be from pets, children or messy adults.

We have used Stanley Steemer and Kiwi and were disappointed with our results. This steam cleaner works really well and our carpets look better than ever--despite two dogs and a two year-old. Sometimes I have a problem getting the seal right if I need to refill the tank. It also doesn't get out EVERYTHING. However, when I use it subsequent times on the same spot it often comes out. So for all of you debating if it's worth it, I would definitely say yes!

Aside from the fact that you have to make absolutely sure that the dirty water reservoir is completely sealed in order to make the suction work, I love this machine. I've never owned a rug shampooer before and this one has been a great investment. I would recommend it to anyone looking to purchase a shampooer. It isn't intended for huge areas but for my condo I find that it is the perfect size.

I just got this product, so while I cannot vouch for it's durability or continued efficiency as of yet, I can say that upon my initial trial I was very pleased with the results. I have owned a previous generation of this Hoover for 5-8 years. I have pets and use it weekly. We love it. The new generation which arrived today is a huge step backward.

The hand attachment requires you to jump through hoops to use it. It must be attached and detached each time you use it on both ends. Crazy method to attach it. If you dump the dirty water, you must disconnect the hand held hose connection which is tied into the dirty water tank, dump the water and reattached ......

This was a replacement for a Bissel which was broken out of the box. Thanks to Amazon I was able to return the Bissel, the Hoover works great, and was easy to use.

We used this with our Hoover carpet cleaner. It did a great job getting up the stains and lingering cat urine odor in the carpet.

While it claims to be "fragrance-free," there is a slight odor. It's WAY better than anything deliberately perfumed, but I'm very sensitive to odors and chemicals, and it bothered me a little (slight headache). Still, it's the least offensive smelling product we've used. We'll keep using it.

Cleans the carpet well, as I would expect, and does NOT give the house the revolting stink of a public toilet at cleaning time, as their regular product and their competitors' products do. I used half of the recommended amount, and my carpet came out sparklingly clean. Go over the just cleaned carpet while it is still wet with only water in the vac reservoir. You will pick up more dirt and remove any shampoo that is left in the carpet.

We bought a previous generation of this beast ~15 years ago, and after much abuse it finally gave up the ghost. After looking around and reading reviews, we settled on the "All-Terrain" model. (1) The "suck" has improved markedly. I tend to be very thorough, which means multiple do-overs and a pretty wet carpet.
